WHY YOUR BRAND NEEDS A METAVERSE
Being brutally honest is what I intend to do with this blog. The Metaverse will bring our society some unwanted changes, according to me.
It seems to me that we need to reduce our screen time and online experiences, while focusing more on in-person interactions. I am concerned that society will lose touch with reality even more than it already has.
However, in spite of my initial impressions about the Google Maps Marketing in Manteca, I am confident that it will have some incredible positives that we can all benefit from, along with its negative aspects. I am not bashing the Metaverse with this blog post; the purpose of this blog is to highlight the business opportunities I think businesses will find within the space and how early adopters will benefit.
WHAT IS THE METAVERSE?
Metaverses are networks of 3D worlds and simulations that are constantly in motion. Now you don't have to imagine what it would be like to stand in the far away country you've always wanted to visit, or even ride the waves in Laguna. Metaverse allows you and countless other people to experience dreams like this in real-time.
Although many thought leaders have stated that the Metaverse isn't real, I believe this is one of society's greatest challenges. Determining real from fantasy.
HOW OLD IS THE METAVERSE?
Although the Metaverse is a new concept, it is not all that new to the general public. Since 2021, when Mark Zuckerberg announced the change in Facebook's brand name to Meta, it has only been widely discussed.
The term metaverse is derived from Neal Stephenson's dystopian cyberpunk novel Snow Crash. Originally released in 1992, this novel is regarded as a canon of the genre, along with William Gibson's Neuromancer

Metaverse marketing is best when you don't even realize you're being targeted and I think that's what we'll see.
Influencers started appearing a long time ago, don't you think? In the beginning, we didn't even know who they were, we just assumed they were familiar people sharing bits of their lives and not trying to sell us anything. When Influencers were still a relatively unknown concept, they were among the best ways to sneakily market products.
There is already that organic feeling in the Metaverse that I expect to return.
IN THE METAVERSE, YOU CAN PURCHASE REAL PRODUCTS
In the Metaverse, imagine walking through a city you've always wanted to see. Your MetaMask wallet is connected to a Domino's that you order from. Your doorbell rings when your pizza arrives at your house rather than experiencing it in the Metaverse. Weird right? This is, however, a real thing. Although smaller brands will have a longer time achieving similar experiences, bigger chains like Domino's will have an advantage over them.
Covid may have led to a live performance being canceled or being restricted. Usually, big companies like the MLB and NBA will come up with a solution, but this is now happening with small local venues as well. Rather than cancelling a show altogether, streaming services are available and in some instances, our faces are displayed on seats in a stadium for a basketball game.
My expectation is that one day you will be able to attend your favorite artist's performance at Madison Square Garden online through the Metaverse.
There's still time for you to see it in person. Looking for a cheaper way to stream it at home? Absolutely. Would you like to see it live in the Metaverse? Sure, just use your digital wallet and get comfortable.
